Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: June 2026

Welcome to the official website of the International Cultural Diplomacy Network (ICDN) ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, digital platforms, or any services, content, or media provided by us (collectively, the "Services"), you ("you," "your," "User," "Member," or "Partner") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease using our Services.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

By using this website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the ICDN.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

A. Proprietary Content

All content, materials, and features available on this website—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, data, video capsules, audio properties, specialized frameworks, and media properties (such as The Diplomat Series)—are the exclusive intellectual property of the ICDN or its licensors. They are protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

B. Limited License

Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and view the public portions of our website for personal, non-commercial, and informational purposes. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without explicit, written authorization from the ICDN leadership.

3. Membership, Partnership, and User Accounts
A. Access Restriction

Certain sections of our website and Services—including the Global Cultural Diplomat Directory, closed-door event pages, and corporate advisory frameworks—are strictly restricted to registered Members and Partners of the ICDN.

B. Account Security

If you are issued credentials to access restricted member-only areas, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.

  • Maintain the strict confidentiality of your password and login details.

  • Prevent unauthorized third parties from accessing the secure, decentralized expert registry.

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.

C. Directory and Network Decorum

Placement within the Global Cultural Diplomat Directory is a privilege. Members agree to utilize the network directory solely for legitimate peer-to-peer collaboration, professional development, and authorized commercial opportunities. Harvesting data or soliciting members for unauthorized commercial, political, or ideological campaigns is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate termination of membership.

4. Event Attendance and Code of Conduct

Access to the ICDN Event Portfolio—including our Signature Fundraising Galas, Business Forums, and Global Dialogue Circles—is reserved exclusively for invited guests, partners, and active network members.

  • Chatham House Rules: Participants in designated Global Dialogue Circles or Roundtables agree to respect the Chatham House Rule: while the information received may be used, neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speakers or any other participant may be revealed.

  • Conduct: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or ideological disruption at our events or on our digital platforms.

5. Next-Generation Programs and Internships

Applications submitted through our website for the Next-Generation Cultural Trade Architects program, professional internships, or creative grants are subject to review and selection by the ICDN Advisory Board. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance, placement, or funding.

6. Third-Party Links and Resources

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, partner institutions, or municipal networks. The ICDN does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or business practices of any third-party websites. You access them entirely at your own risk.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

A. "As Is" Basis

The information, insights, and media provided on this website are for general educational and strategic informational purposes only. While we strive for absolute accuracy, the Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

B. No Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the ICDN, its founding Chair, Governors, Advisory Board members, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its specialized frameworks.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the ICDN, its leadership, employees, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the website’s content.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located within the judicial district of Montreal, Quebec.

10. Modifications to Terms

The ICDN reserves the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time without prior notice. The date of the latest revision will always be displayed at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website following any changes constitutes your binding acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Contact Information
